Thank you very much for your extensive reply. If it don't work for me there somehow, its generally broken badly and something to walk away from for a bit (at least with MMOs) :D My current play method to stay abreast on is using the cli & lutris to manipulate wine-staging (makes testing dxvk stuff very easy, and eagerly awaiting inclusion in CX).

But last update to my guide page, everything was indeed tested from a fresh prefix aside from WC3 and Destiny2. I will test it when I get home and can try updating and logging into wow and d3. Been a few months since I played, so an update may have broken something.

It worked and then, and my guide should be still good. Been a bit since I used the Lutris script, but it did work at least last August or so when I started over when CX had a broken period due to the Auth changes. Between trying to keep up with the janky method that PoL uses to get things working (good reasons why PoL is verboten on the wine fcrums and appdb), the people kept modding it to do things that are package/system level not wine. Have you tried other methods of using Wine from scratch (not copying over)? Such as vanilla wine, lutris, or play-on-linux? I used to, key words there, maintain the PoL Bnet script until the community ruined it along with my WoW and D3 scripts. Have you tried running the game from a command line or running CX to log the output so perhaps we can see if there is any output to point us in the right direction?ģ. So, to get things straight, I am going to ask a barrage of questions - its merely to figure out what was done and what we can try moving forward.ġ.

is there any hope here? 3D works, I can play TheDarkMod, Star Wars: The Old Republic through Wine and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided through Steam (even though that works not nearly as smooth as under Windows). No error message really, just my screen gets unresponsive and I have to enter another virtual terminal to kill the process WoW-64.exe. I can enter the Bnet application, by bypassing the login process, and it actually found my installation of WoW, but when I try to start it, it crashes immediately. Starting the Bnet Launcher is already producing massive crashes in the Bnet Helper, the login button never appears.
